My Filofax: Unboxing the New Limited Edition Original Filofax "Jack"

Oh, how I have dreamt of having a Filofax of my very own!  Well, I finally bit the bullet and purchased one from the Filofax website and it's HERE!!  I'm sooo excited to share the unboxing with you!!!

PS: If you aren't into reading all about it, I've created a YouTube video for you!  So go ahead and have a peek, if you'd like.  For those that enjoy reading about it, scroll down a wee bit and I've got you covered too.

..............

A sneak peek inside the box
My little jewel is nestled nicely in her cardboard box.  Let's unwrap her ....

(Okay, okay ... yes, her name is "Jack", but I just love referring to him as her.  You can best compare my love of her with a man and his car, I presume ;)

"Jack" still wrapped in the protective plastic sheet
Ta-Dah! Isn't she beautiful?!

I fell head over heals for this baby, as soon as I saw her on the website.  She is the crème de la crème of this years Filofax organizers, and I knew that I had to have her!  I mean, I've never had a Filofax before and I had been saving my pretty little pennies, just waiting for that perfect organizer to catch my eye.  As soon as I scrolled through the wealth of plain covered organizers, Jack jumped right off of page!  I just couldn't stop staring at this print.  It was true love!  So, why not, right?!

"Jack" in all her glory
In case you were interested in purchasing your very own Filofax Jack, it is a limited edition organizer, and I have no idea how long "limited edition" lasts in Filofax terms, but feel free to check it out HERE.  I did go ahead and purchase the A5 size which houses 8.27" by 5.83" papers, so roughly half a sheet of computer paper.  I figured that this would be a great size for note taking, journaling, my long winded rants, etc.

Gorgeous button detail on the snap closure
I love the little details on this planner.  I mean, just look at that gorgeous button!  It really adds that je ne sais quoi to this already amazing leather organizer.

Inside the Filofax
 A look at the inside...

Two elastic pen loops, a larger elastic space, two card slots, a protective plastic page, and an introduction page are what you get when you crack this baby open.

Stamped leather inside front cover
Here is a closer look at the elastic and the imprinted Filofax logo on the inside front panel.
Again, it's all in the details.

Calendar: Week on 2 Pages
The organizer comes stock with many great pages, including contacts, graph paper, lined paper, plain paper, to do lists, holidays, notes, and a week in two pages calendar.  The calendar begins December 2015 and ends January 2017.  (Enough time to order a new one ;)

The back inside cover comes with a fabulous little note pad!
After reading the list of specifics when ordering "Jack", I had no idea that this note pad was included in the package.  What a wonderful surprise!

Jack's cover laid open
Laid out in all Jack's glory!  You know, I just have to say that the Union Jack is an absolutely beautiful flag.  The colours, lines, and shapes; they all work together so seamlessly.

Jack without inserts
Here is a last look inside Jack, without any inserts.

I just can't tell you enough about how excited I am to have been able to purchase this planner.  I have a million ideas buzzing around in my head for personalizing this gorgeous specimen of a personal organizer.  Please stay tuned to see what I have in store for this baby.  Hopefully you won't be disappointed.

I'd love to hear all about your love of personal organizers too!  So please feel free to leave a comment, links to your page, videos, pictures, etc. below.
Let's share in the personal organizer glory!

Thank you for joining me while I had the pleasure of unboxing this wonderful Filofax and, as always, I look forward to hearing from you.

Much organizer love,

Mrs. Rasberry & the Fur Berries
